FREMONT, Neb. – Midland University will host Grand View University in the 2025 NAIA Women’s Volleyball National Championship Opening Round on Saturday. The Warriors will battle the Vikings inside the Wikert Event Center on November 23, beginning at 1:00 p.m.
Midland earned an at-large berth following an 18-10 season, finishing third in the ultra-competitive Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC). In the conference postseason tournament, they reached the GPAC Semifinal before falling to the second-seeded Concordia University. This will be the Warriors’ 12th appearance in the tournament in the last 13 seasons, and their 6th straight.
Grand View earned a bid out of the Heart of America Athletic Conference (HAAC) as the regular-season champion. The Vikings went 17-1 in conference play, sharing the regular season title with Missouri Baptist. In the postseason tournament, Grand View reached the semifinals before falling to Park University. This is the Vikings’ 12th appearance in the NAIA Championship and their first since 2021.
Saturday’s match is one of 24 opening-round contests at campus locations nationwide. Winners of those matches will advance to the Tyson Events Center in Sioux City, Iowa, for pool play beginning on Wednesday, December 3. The tournament runs through Tuesday, December 9, when the 2025 NAIA Women’s Volleyball National Champion will be crowned.
All championship opening round matches will be broadcast by each host and can be viewed for free on the NAIA Channel of the Urban Edge Network.
Following the opening rounds, the final site pools will be announced on Sunday, November 23, at 1 p.m. CT.
MIDLAND OPENING ROUND INFORMATION
Tickets to watch the 1:00 p.m. match in person can be purchased in advance online [LINK] or at the door on the day of the match. Prices are $10.00 for adults and $5.00 for students. Midland is a cashless entry for all events. Doors open at 12:00 p.m. Season passes are not valid for the postseason match.
