Randy Edward Peters, 68, of Omaha passed away on November 17, 2025 in Bristol, Tennessee. He was born on August 9, 1957, in Fremont.

Randy grew up in Hooper where he and his family were very involved in St. John’s Lutheran Church. He attended Logan View Junior/Senior High in Hooper and graduated in 1975. He had a talent for sales, beginning his career selling farm supplies in Grand Island, followed by work in the livestock feed and animal health industry in Omaha. In 1996, he moved into car sales and worked at Hyundai and Nissan dealerships in Omaha, Lincoln, and Council Bluffs. In 2021, he moved to the Tri-Cities area of Tennessee to join his son, Cory, where they both worked in real estate. Besides being a skilled grill master, his passions outside of work included Nebraska football, pheasant hunting, following politics, and spending time with family.

He is survived by his daughter, Samantha Peters Clough, her husband, Phil Clough, with grandchildren, Elizabeth (12) and Katherine (10). He is also survived by his son, Cory Peters, their mother, Melanie Peters; his brother Gary Peters; wife Lisa, with nieces and nephews—Molly, Anne, Ally, Calan, and Dexter Peters. Randy was preceded in death by his father, Wilbert Peters, and his mother, Marcella Laudenklos Peters of Fremont.

Visitation with family will be 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, November 21, 2025, at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont. A memorial service will be held at 9 a.m. at Moser Memorial Chapel on Saturday, November 22. Interment will follow at St. John’s Cemetery in Hooper.

In lieu of flowers, the family will be accepting donations for the St. John’s Cemetery Fund in Hooper.
