
Barbara Jean Bagley was born on December 12, 1954 in Prague to Anton “Zip” and Irene (Matous) Semrad and entered her heavenly home on November 14, 2025 at Methodist Fremont Health at the age of 70.
Barbara graduated from Fremont Archbishop Bergan High School in 1973. She worked as an industrial worker for Avaya which changed to Connectivity Solutions and retired in 2006.
Barbara met Dennis Bagley on a blind date and got married on July 5, 1984, in Fremont where they made their home.
She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Fremont, and she enjoyed gambling at the casinos, attending her grandchildren’s sporting events, going out to dinner, dancing in the kitchen, and reading books. Her family was most important to Barbara.
Survivors include her husband, Dennis of Fremont; daughters, Angela (Ronald “RJ”) Pelton of Mead, Rachel (Matthew) Williams of Omaha, and Jessica (James) Teichmeier of Hastings; sister, Nancy (Bob) Hoops; brothers in law, Larry Codr and Jim Bagley; eight grandchildren, Taylor (Cole) Grennan, Dylan Gartner, Jayden Teichmeier, Brady Gartner, Jaxon Teichmeier, Jace Teichmeier, Cayde Gartner, and Jozie Teichmeier; two step-grandchildren, Keal Pelton and Allie Pelton; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and in laws, Royal and Theresa Bagley; brothers, Paul and Patrick Semrad; sister, Kathy Codr, sisters-in-law, Dorothy Bagley and Jean Semrad and brother-in-law, Leroy Bagley.
The funeral service will be 10 a.m. Friday, November 21, 2025, at St Patrick Catholic Church in Fremont. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont. The rosary will be said at 7 following the visitation on Thursday at Moser Memorial Chapel.
The burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Fremont.
