The Fremont Health Foundation has announced the appointment of Alli Greene, OTR/L, CLT-LANA, CWT, as its new director.
Greene succeeds Shawn Shanahan Brown, who led the Foundation with distinction for five years until her passing in May 2025. Shanahan Brown’s legacy of compassion, innovation and community impact continues to inspire the Foundation’s mission.
In her new role, Greene will oversee fund development, donor and community relations, and a broad portfolio of programming and special projects that support the health and well-being of the Fremont area.
“We were blessed to have a search full of highly qualified and committed candidates from Fremont and the region,” said Bill Vobejda, president and CEO of Methodist Fremont Health. “But Alli rose to the top with her experience in building strong relationships, passion for health care and overall commitment to our community. Her drive to connect our projects and opportunities with our donors and partners, and to build on the many successes we have seen over the past several years is truly impressive.”
Greene has worked for Methodist Fremont Health as an occupational therapist for the past six years. She brings a wealth of experience in nonprofit leadership, strategic fundraising and community engagement. She has served in various capacities for the Fremont Health Foundation Gala Committee, Fremont Area Aging Resource Network, Fremont Area Alzheimer’s Collaborative, Fremont Area Young Professionals, Fremont Area Chamber of Commerce and Fremont Rotary. She is also a 2024 Fremont Tribune 20 Under 40 honoree.
“Alli is the perfect fit to lead the Foundation into its next chapter,” said Chuck Johannsen, president of the Fremont Health Foundation Board of Directors. “Her deep understanding of philanthropy, collaborative spirit and genuine love for this community make her an exceptional choice. We’re confident she will honor Shawn’s legacy while bringing fresh energy and vision to our work.”
Greene expressed her excitement about joining the Foundation.
“Fremont has always felt like home to me,” she said. “The people here care deeply about one another, and that sense of community is what drew me to this role. I’m honored to carry forward the incredible work that Shawn did and to help grow the Foundation’s impact in meaningful ways.”
