Beverly J. Greenfield Rasmussen, 83, of Wahoo, formerly of Fremont, entered Heaven Tuesday, November 11, 2025, surrounded by family at the Saunders County Medical Center Long Term Care in Wahoo.

Beverly was born April 15, 1942 at the Blair Hospital to Clarence and Viola ‘Voss’ Schneekloth. She grew up on a farm in the Blair/Kennard area and moved to a farm northwest of Fremont in 1951. She attended District 68 school in rural Dodge County and graduated from Fremont Senior High School in 1960. She married Charles Greenfield in June of 1962 and together they had four children, Renee, Clark and twins Jodie and Julie. They later divorced and she married Ross Rasmussen in October of 1987 and welcomed his children Jody, Jeff, Jon, Gene and Jerry to her family.

Beverly was involved as a 4-H leader, Sunday School teacher, PTA secretary and president, Dodge County React, POAN and the Eastern Star to name a few. Her working years were spent raising children and working for Vienna Bakery, Gambles Engineering Design, Fremont Housing Authority, Dodge County Corrections, Dodge County Sheriff, Hooper Police Department, Platte Chemical, Midwest Companies, Timperly Trucking, Bennington Police Department, North Star Services and as an in home care giver.

 

Beverly had been a resident of Saunders County Medical Center Long Term Care since June of 2018.

She is survived by her children, stepchildren, 13 grandchildren and even more great-grandchildren.

She was proceeded in death by her parents Clarence and Viola Schneekloth, her husband Ross, and ex-husband Charles.

There is no viewing but the family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, November 17 at Ludvigsen Mortuary Chapel in Fremont. Private burial will be in Memorial Cemetery.
