BELLEVUE, Neb. — Midland University traveled to Bellevue, Nebraska, for a nonconference match on Wednesday evening, where a strong first-half offensive surge by the Bruins led to a 7-0 loss for the Warriors.

Bellevue scored in the 13th minute to take an early lead, then added goals in the 24th and 26th minutes to go up 3-0. The Bruins continued their momentum late in the half, tallying goals in the 40th and 45th minutes to take a 5-0 advantage into halftime.

The Bruins extended their lead early in the second half with a goal in the 48th minute and added one more before the final whistle.

Bellevue outshot Midland 32-3, including a 19-2 margin in shots on goal, and held a 6-0 advantage in corner kicks.

Midland (2-12-1, 1-8 GPAC) returns home to host Northwestern College (6-7-2, 2-5-2 GPAC) for Senior Night on Saturday, Oct. 25. Kickoff for the GPAC match is set for 7:30 p.m.
