SIOUX CITY, Iowa – The Great Plains Athletic Conference, in partnership with presenting sponsor Hauff Mid-America Sports, has announced its men’s soccer players of the week for contests played October 13-19, 2025. Midland University swept the honors, with Hugo Garcia-Rosado Duran earning offensive recognition and Sean Beatty being named the defensive award winner.
Garcia, a senior from Barcelona, Spain, totaled 10 points as he helped lead the Warriors into a tie at the top of the conference standings. He recorded a hat trick—his second in two seasons—in Midland’s road win over Waldorf. For the week, he scored four goals and added two assists in 115 minutes of action.
Beatty, a senior from Omaha, Nebraska, made his first starts of the season after an injury to Midland’s regular goalkeeper. He responded with two shutouts, making seven key saves in the win over Concordia and guiding the Warriors to a clean sheet against Waldorf, where they did not allow a shot on goal.
