FREMONT, Neb. – Midland University hosted Concordia University on Wednesday night in a Great Plains Athletic Conference matchup, falling 4-0 to the Bulldogs.
Concordia opened the game with an early goal in the 5th minute to build momentum. The Warriors held strong defensively until the Bulldogs added another goal in the 45th minute to take a 2-0 lead into halftime.
After the intermission, Concordia scored back-to-back goals in the 63rd and 69th minutes to secure a 4-0 victory. The Bulldogs outshot the Warriors 28-6 overall, including a 14-3 edge on goal. Concordia also held a 7-0 advantage in corner kicks.
Ava Brandt played the full 90 minutes in goal for Midland, recording 14 saves on the night.
Midland (1-11-1, 0-8-0 GPAC) will travel to Forest City, Iowa, to face Waldorf University (1-10-1, 0-7 GPAC)in conference play on Saturday, Oct. 18. Kickoff is set for 5 p.m.
