SIOUX CITY, Iowa – The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC), along with presenting sponsor Hauff Mid-America Sports, has announced its volleyball players of the week for contests played September 22-28, 2025. Midland University’s Brena Mackling was named the GPAC Setter of the Week, while Aubrey De Groot of Northwestern (Attacker) and Emma Brueggemann of Concordia (Defender) earned the other two awards.
Mackling, a junior from Gretna, Nebraska, averaged 6.71 assists/set in Midland’s 6-2 formation this past week. She played a big part in the Warriors winning both conference matches while hitting .268 as a team. Additionally, she had seven digs, six kills, and a pair of service aces.
Midland will be back in action this weekend with a pair of matches in Sioux City. They’ll face Briar Cliff on Friday night and then take on Morningside on Saturday evening.
