MU to honor alumni with 10 Under 10 Awards

Midland University is hosting its first 10 Under 10 Awards ceremony Oct. 20 at the Wikert Event Center. Check-in and social hour is 5-6 p.m. with dinner and the awards ceremony beginning at 6. Registration and ticket information is available at midlandu.edu/alumni/10-under-10-awards-banquet.

Midland will be honoring 10 outstanding young alumni for their contributions in their communities and their fields. The award recognizes Midland graduates from within the last decade.

“We are excited and honored to be hosting this first-time event,” said Laura Jensen, Vice President for Institutional Advancement at Midland University. “We have so many outstanding young alumni who are doing great things, both professionally and through involvement in their communities, and we are proud to be able to recognize them for their accomplishments.”

Alumni being recognized are:

Canyon Ferris, ’21 (Business Development and Sales Manager for S2 Refuse & Recycling in Fremont).

Brittany Fuller, ’15 (Assistant Professor for the nursing program at Midland University).

Summer Hospadka, ’20 (Kindergarten teacher at Aldrich Elementary School in Omaha).

Dr. Quincy Johnson, ’16 (Assistant Professor in the Department of Health, Sport and Exercise Sciences at the University of Kansas).

Maggie Lipsys, ’21 (Realtor/Associate Broker and Owner at Don Peterson & Associates in Fremont).

Renen Sahr, ’16 (Financial Advisor and President of RVR Wealth at RVR Bank in Fremont).

Michaela Shepard, ’18 (Associate Vice President of Undergraduate Enrollment and Recruitment Strategy at Midland University).

Bradyn Snell, ’20 (Financial Consultant at Bixby Financial Services in Fremont).

Scott Tatum, ’24 (Business Development Officer with Thomas Title & Escrow in Scottsdale, Arizona).

Madyson Walswick, ’24 (Wellness and Events Manager at the Fremont Family YMCA).
