Frank Kment, commissioner with the Fremont Housing Agency and Fremont Assisted Housing Corporation, was recently recognized by the Nebraska Chapter of the National Association of Housing & Redevelopment Officials (NAHRO) as Commissioner of the Year. The award was presented on Sept. 10 at the NAHRO State Conference in Kearney.
Kment, the Vice President of Lending at RVR Bank, has been a member of the Board of Commissioners since 2011, serving as Vice-Chairman for over 13 years.
Kment has led the financial education of the Fremont Housing Agency residents in partnership with the Fremont Housing Agency through the Nebraska Rentwise Program. He understands the opportunities and challenges that the Fremont Housing Agency faces in providing the best possible housing product to those served by the Agency.
The Commissioner of the Year award honors a current commissioner, or one who has served within the last 12 months, who has demonstrated excellence in advocating for and developing the financial, political, and community support necessary to ensure that the continuation and expansion of housing or community development programs.
