SIOUX CITY, Iowa – The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC), along with presenting sponsor Hauff Mid-America Sports, announced the Men’s Soccer Players of the Week for contests played Sept. 8-14, 2025. Midland University swept the awards, with Nacho Salmeron earning GPAC Offensive Player of the Week and Tomas Reyes taking home GPAC Defensive Player of the Week.
Salmeron, a sophomore from Murcia, Spain, scored a hat trick in Midland’s road win over RV Columbia on Wednesday. It was his first collegiate hat trick.
Reyes, a freshman from Guadalajara, Mexico, helped the Warriors to a pair of nonconference results last week. Against RV Columbia, he earned the win with three saves. He followed that with four saves and a clean sheet in a scoreless draw with Ottawa at home.
Midland opens conference play this week with a road game at Dordt on Saturday. The Warriors, who are receiving votes in the NAIA Coaches’ Poll, enter with a 5-1-1 record.
