Nebraska women’s basketball player Callin Hake has been elected the chair of the Big Ten Student-Athlete Issues Commission for the 2025-26 academic year, the conference announced on Wednesday, Sept. 10.

Hake, a senior guard for the Huskers from Victoria, Minn., also served as a representative on the SAIC last year while serving as the President of the 2024-25 Nebraska Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.

A three-year contributor who is entering her final season on the court for Coach Amy Williams‘ Huskers, Hake started 30 games and averaged 6.4 points, 3.0 rebounds and 3.4 assists to help Nebraska to its second consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance in 2024-25. One of Nebraska’s hardest workers on and off the court, Hake is a two-time Nebraska Women’s Basketball Lifter of the Year.

In the classroom, Hake is a two-time Academic All-District selection by the College Sports Communicators and a two-time Academic All-Big Ten choices. She was also a 2025 Big Ten Distinguished Scholar as a double-major in management and marketing.
