Sally M. Cavanaugh, 83, of Fremont passed away Sunday, August 31, 2025, at Nye Court in Fremont. She was born February 23, 1942 in Davenport, Iowa, to Elmer and Marjorie (McBride) Reimers.
Sally grew up in Omaha and was a 1960 graduate of Omaha Tech High School. She married Jack Cavanaugh May 4, 1963 in Omaha. After marriage they lived in Kearney until moving to Fremont in 1967.
She was employed at Richman-Gordman and the ½ Price Store. She also worked at the Fremont Tribune and AIM Marketing until her retirement in 1994. She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Fremont.
Sally is survived by her sons, Dan (Darcy) Cavanaugh of Verdigris, OK and Jerry Cavanaugh of Syracuse, NE; daughter, Jackie (LaMonte) Bovill of Fremont; brother, Marvin Reimers of LaVista; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jack; and sisters, Patty Roberson and JoAnn (Ralph) Gibbons and brother, Charles Reimers.
Funeral Mass will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, September 4, 2025, at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Fremont. Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Moser’s in Fremont and continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday.
Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery in Fremont.
