FREMONT, Neb. – The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) has released its 2025 Men’s Soccer Preseason Coaches’ Poll, with Midland University selected fourth. The Warriors collected 77 total points in the voting, including two first-place votes, as they enter the season under the leadership of fifth-year head coach Josh Nakayama.
Midland will open the season with a road trip to Oklahoma, facing Oklahoma City University on August 21 and Southwestern Christian University on August 23. The Warriors will also travel to Clarke University on August 28 before returning home for their opener on Saturday, August 30, against Friends University. That match will be the first on the newly installed turf at Heedum Field in Fremont.
Morningside University tops the preseason poll with 87 points and three first-place votes after winning the 2024 GPAC regular season title. Hastings College and Concordia University tied for second with 84 points each, with Hastings earning five first-place votes and Concordia receiving one. The Broncos claimed the 2024 GPAC Tournament championship.
The 2025 GPAC season will feature 10 conference matches, with all 11 teams vying for the league crown. The GPAC postseason tournament champion will earn the league’s automatic bid to the 2025 NAIA Men’s Soccer National Championship, set for December 1-8 in Orange Beach, Alabama. Opening round matches will be held November 20-22 at campus sites.
