FREMONT, Neb. – The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) has released its 2025 preseason football coaches’ poll, with Midland University slotted fifth among the league’s 11 teams. The Warriors enter their 10th season under head coach Jeff Jamrog, who has guided the program to 58 total wins over the past nine years — the most by any college football team in the state of Nebraska during that span.
Midland received 64 points in the voting, placing just behind Concordia (68 points) and ahead of Dordt, Briar Cliff, Hastings, Doane, Dakota Wesleyan, and Jamestown. Coaches were not permitted to vote for their own team.
Morningside University was tabbed as the preseason favorite with 99 points and nine first-place votes after advancing to the NAIA semifinals last fall before falling to eventual national champion Grand View. Northwestern College, which reached the quarterfinals in 2024, came in second with 89 points and two first-place votes. Dordt University rounded out the top three with 84 points.
