The Fremont Family YMCA has announced the appointment of Tim Benson as its new Chief Executive Officer.
A familiar face within the organization and a respected leader in Nebraska’s non-profit community, Benson steps into this role with a vision for deeper partnerships, broader outreach, and strengthened service to members.
Benson brings nearly a decade of executive nonprofit experience. Prior to his promotion, he served as Chief Operating Officer at the Y and was formerly the vice president at Omaha Children’s Museum. A graduate of the University of Nebraska at Omaha, Benson has built a career grounded in servant leadership and results-driven community programming.
“Tim has a unique combination of strategic vision, local knowledge, and deep compassion for families in our region,” said Brenda Wilberding, a Fremont Family YMCA
Board Member. “His leadership will play a vital role as we grow our reach and deliver our mission in new and meaningful ways.”
Benson and his wife, Jennifer, are the parents to two children. He said he is eager to begin his new professional role.
“I’m honored and excited to lead an organization that truly changes lives,” said Benson. “Our YMCA has been a cornerstone in Fremont for generations, and I look forward to expanding our partnerships, deepening our service, and leading a tremendous team that is ready to grow the Fremont Family YMCA community.”
