Margaret Kay Foreman, 67, of Fremont passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 20, 2025, at Methodist Hospital in Omaha. She was born on September 7, 1957, in Mercer, Missouri, to Wallace and Lucille (Oakley) Moreland.
Throughout her life, Margaret called many places home—including Georgia, Colorado, and Iowa—before settling in rural Hooper, where she lovingly raised her family. A devoted mother, proud grandmother, and cherished friend, Margaret touched countless lives with her kindness, humor, and strength.
She found joy in life’s simple pleasures: thrifting for hidden treasures, enjoying the occasional trip to the casino, and listening to classic country music. But her greatest joy came from her family. She treasured time spent surrounded by her children and grandchildren, and nothing delighted her more than bringing loved ones together for a family barbecue or holiday gathering.
Margaret is survived by her children: Robert “Butch” Foreman, Gail (Jenny) Foreman, James (Stephanie) Foreman, William (Gabrielle) Foreman, and adopted children Cassandra (Justin) Weitzenkamp and Justin Foreman. She was a proud and loving grandmother to Madeline, Aiden (Millie), Layla, Liam, Theodore, and August, and a cherished great-grandmother to Mari. Margaret is also survived by her siblings: Anita Hendrickson, Cecil (Louise) Oakley, Don (Debbie) Moreland, and Norman (Jeanie) Moreland, as well as many loving nieces, nephews, and relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lucille and Wallace Moreland; sister, Nellie Spencer; and brothers, Charlie Moreland, George Moreland, and William “Bud” Moreland.
Margaret will be remembered for her enduring strength, her love for family, and the gentle kindness she showed to all who knew her.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 26, 2025, at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, also at Moser’s. Online condolences may be left at www.mosermemorialchapels.com.
