
A Lincoln woman died as a result of a multi-vehicle accident Friday afternoon in Saunders County.
At about 3:39, authorities responded to the accident on Highway 79, just north of County Road 2 (about two miles north of Prague). An investigation indicated that a gray Honda Civic, driven by Rebekah Guilford, 25, of Lincoln was northbound on Highway 79 when it crossed the center line, swerved to correct the action and made impact with a black Lincoln MKZ. The MKZ, driven by Enereo Cervantes of Columbus, was headed southbound on 79.
Guilford was declared deceased at the scene. Cervantes was extricated and transported to Methodist Fremont Health with multiple injuries and was later transported to Bryan West. The passenger of Cervantes’ vehicle was transported to Methodist Fremont Health with multiple injuries and was later transported to Bryan West.
Seatbelts were in use and alcohol is not suspected a factor in the accident. Prague Fire and Rescue, North Bend Fire and Rescue, and Cedar Bluffs Fire and
Rescue were on scene.
