The Nebraska Chamber Foundation has announced that Cindy Slykhuis of Arlington has been selected to join Leadership Nebraska Class XVII, a statewide leadership program designed to connect, develop, and inspire leaders from across Nebraska.

Slykhuis serves as Vice President of Marketing & Community Engagement at RVR Bank, where she leads the organization’s marketing, public relations, customer growth, and community reinvestment strategies. She played a key role in the bank’s recent rebrand following its first
acquisition, transitioning First State Bank & Trust Company to RVR Bank.

A graduate of Nebraska Wesleyan University, Slykhuis is deeply involved in her community. She currently serves as Chair of Leadership Fremont, Board Chair for CareCorps’ LifeHouse, and holds leadership roles with the Fremont Kiwanis Club, Arlington Friends of the Library, and
United Way’s Hats Off to Literacy fundraiser. She also volunteers with Arlington FBLA and Midland University FBLA-C and was honored with the LiFE Career Award from the Nebraska Bankers Association for her commitment to financial literacy.

Outside of work, she enjoys reading, cheering on her sons Winston and Oliver with her husband Steve in their activities, and running a top-ranked Pampered Chef business.

Leadership Nebraska, presented by Medica, offers a seven-month program that explores key issues across the state including economic development, workforce, education, agriculture, healthcare, and public policy.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Cindy and the rest of Class XVII,” said Todd Bingham, president of the NE Chamber. “These leaders are already making a difference in their communities, and the Leadership Nebraska experience will give them new perspectives, deeper connections, and even greater impact in the years ahead.”
