Doug Coleman, 67, of Fremont passed away Thursday, June 12, 2025, at his home surrounded by family.
I came into this world on November 18, 1957 in Fremont. My parents names were Stanley Aza & Dora Thea “Dottie” (Otteson) Coleman. It may have been one of the happiest days in my Dad’s life.
I married the love of my life Monette Anne Muhlbach on March 15, 2008 and my family grew in the best of ways.
I was a die-hard Cubs fan, Da Bears and of course the Huskers. I also enjoyed playing pool and all sorts of card games. But of course my favorite pastime was spending time with my sons and grandchildren.
I am sadly leaving behind my lovely wife Monette, my sons Chris Coleman of Fort Collins, Colorado, Tyler and Jess (Johnson) Coleman of Denver, Kyle and Sarah (Kollars) Coleman of Denver, Zach Muhlbach of Mead and Cody Muhlbach of Fremont. My sisters Rita and Tony Jindra of Fremont, Joyce and Bob Carlson of Fremont and Bev and Jerry Hart also of Fremont. My grandchildren Quinton Muhlbach, Lars Muhlbach, Calvin Muhlbach, Haylie Muhlbach, Greysen Muhlbach, Ryker Coleman, Maria Muhlbach, Mayle Berestel and Lilly Brerestel.
My mother in-law Carol Craven and in-laws, Betty & Dave Bobst, Jolynn Oliver, Bill Oliver, Tony & Melissa Fulton, Dave & Janine Kavan. Steve & Julie Oliver and Sandra Kreutzian. And so many nieces and nephews who all held a special piece in my heart.
I was preceded in death by my parents, my niece JaDee Voss, nephew Jason Voss, stepson Bryan Muhlbach and great nephew Tucker Menking.
My family will be receiving friends and relatives for visitation from 10 a.m. to noon with a Celebration of Life at noon Wednesday, June 18, 2025, at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont. Chaplain Scott Jensen will officiate.
