FREMONT, Neb. – Midland University has released its 2025 men’s soccer schedule, which features a competitive lineup of 17 regular-season matches leading into Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) play. The Warriors will play nine games at Heedum Field in Fremont, with a schedule that includes several returning national tournament qualifiers.
The Warriors begin their season on the road with a two-game trip through Oklahoma. They’ll face Oklahoma City University on Thursday, August 21, and then take on Southwestern Christian University in Bethany on Saturday, August 23. The road swing continues the following week with a matchup at Clarke University on August 28 in Dubuque, Iowa.
Midland’s home opener is scheduled for Saturday, August 30, when the Warriors host Friends University at 3:00 p.m. at Heedum Field. Additional nonconference action includes home games against York University (Sept. 3) and Ottawa University (Sept. 13), along with road contests at Columbia College (Sept. 10) and Bellevue University (Oct. 1).
“We are very excited about the team coming in the fall,” said head coach Josh Nakayama. “We have kept some of our best players and added a number of great pieces this past spring and fall. We are very optimistic that the season could hold big things for us.”
The GPAC schedule opens Saturday, September 20, on the road at Dordt and includes 10 games—five at home and five away. Key home matches include Morningside (Sept. 27), Dakota Wesleyan (Oct. 11), Concordia (Oct. 15), and the regular-season finale against Hastings (Oct. 29).
“Our schedule is very competitive,” added Nakayama. “We try our best to have a full schedule that is packed with top opponents that qualify for nationals and are ranked highly. I am very hopeful that this can help us push into the rankings this fall.”
The GPAC Tournament will be played on November 1, 7, and 11 at higher-seeded sites. The NAIA National Championship Opening Round is set for November 20–22 at campus sites, followed by the final site December 1–8 in Orange Beach, Alabama.
