It was 85 and sunny in the South Dakota capital, Pierre, as the Moo looked to right the ship. There wasn’t a cloud in the sky for what would become a less than perfect afternoon for the Moo.

Much like the night prior, errors would hurt the Moo early. The Zap would score two on a Michael Baker (Cal State-Chico) error at third to make it an early 2-0 Zap lead in the 2nd inning.
The Zap would continue their offensive attack, pushing across three in the third and forth. The Moo would score a run in the top of the fifth as Preston Gajewski (NOC-Tonkawa) would make a mad dash home on a stolen base and throwing error combo to put the Moo on the board.
The Moo had a singular run before the Zap would score two in the bottom half to answer back the Moo’s lone run to make it, 10-1 Zap at the end of the fifth.
The nail in the coffin came in the bottom of the 7th. Pitcher-coach, Tyler Dunham (Midland) would come on and surrender the walk-off run to send the Moo packing. A sac fly from Andrew Phillips would score Nick Golden to end the game at 11-1. The Moo would be ten-run ruled for the second time in two nights
The Moo fall to a 3-4 record as they head into Hastings. The Zap improve to 3-5 and sweep the Moo during their opening home stand.
Join the 2025 Moocasters Bobby Hessling and Coop Lipski on the call with the pregame show tomorrow night from Hastings, beginning around 6:10 on the Big Dog Country 98.9 FM / 1340 AM and on the Fremont Moo Radio Network (Mixlr).
