Bruce J. Wedergren, 68, of Lincoln, Nebraska passed away Tuesday, May 13, 2025, at his home. He was born June 10, 1956 in Fremont to Jerome and Patricia (Gaughen) Wedergren.

Bruce grew up in Fremont and graduated from Archbishop Bergan High School in 1974. He then received his bachelor’s degree from UNL. Bruce worked in the flooring industry in Lincoln. He was a carpet installer and later a carpet cleaner.

Bruce loved his cats, movies and music, especially 1970s music. He played in several bands back in the 1970s while still in Fremont such as Dog Breath, Fancy Jack and Noah. They toured for several years. Later he was the drummer in a couple of bands in Lincoln.

He is survived by his brother, Scott Wedergren and special friend Pam Jacobsen of Elkhorn; sisters, Susan (Allen) Styskal and Janis Dallman all of Fremont; nieces and nephews, Dash & Scarlett, Adam & Natalie, Kirsten and great niece, Sage.

Bruce was preceded in death by his parents; infant brother, David and brother-in-law, Randy Dallman.

Memorial Visitation will be 5:30 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, May 20, 2025, at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont. Private interment will be at Calvary Cemetery in Fremont. Online condolences may be left at www.mosermemorialchapels.com
