The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office has applied for and received a grant from the Nebraska Office of Highway Safety for overtime enforcement activities.
An extra activity event will occur from 7 to 9 p.m. today (May 7) on Highway 77 at the Nebraska State Patrol weigh scales north of Fremont.
The check point will be to inspect both commercial and non-commercial vehicles for safety violations, licensing compliance, and impaired driving. The operation is an ongoing effort to promote road safety and reduce accidents in Dodge County. This checkpoint will be conducted by the Nebraska State Patrol with the assistance of the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office.
