Inspire Collaborative Health Association won the Pitch It in Fremont competition Thursday night at Midland University.
The annual Creative Collective event featured six contestants pitching their businesses for a $5,000 prize and other incentives. A panel of five judges awarded the business owned by Allison Beninato the top honor.
“Our mission is to bridge the health care gap between medical providers and alternative practitioners to better support the overall well-being, preventative and long- and short-term care for individuals,” Beninato said.
Beninato said personal experience motivated her to start the multi-dimensional health association.
“What led me to that was my own health journey and my own health issues that I wasn’t getting resolved,” she said. “I had kind of gotten to a dead end in Western medicine and what they could offer me. That is what provoked me to explore elsewhere and then that just ignited this curiosity and that’s what fuels this. It is a passion and I’m passionate about all forms of health care.”
The other contestants included:
Nebraska Innovation Labs — Software for startups and small businesses. It is owned by Dillon DeRozario.
Crani-Yum Nootropic Energy Drinks — Energy drink designed for mental clarity that is owned by Brett Claussen and Jamie Stark.
The Next Level Media and Promotions — Digital Marketing Services owned by Jagger Plevel with co-owners Jaylen Kile and Sierra Kile.
Overland Youth — Non-profit providing outdoor programming for disadvantaged youth. It is owned by Shaun Smith.
Forged Athletic — Christian-based fitness apparel brand owned by Jacob Sautter.
Judges for the event were: Nick Vrba, president of RVR Bank; Mike Staffenbeal, founder of Paragon Capital Endeavors; Brenda Wilberding, president and CEO of the Fremont Area Chamber of Commerce; Chris McBratney, recruitment manager at Wholestone Farms; and Megan Skiles, president and CEO of the Greater Fremont Development Council.
