SIOUX CITY, Iowa – The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports have announced the softball player and pitcher of the week for contests played April 14 – April 20, 2025. Reese Floro of Midland University was named the GPAC Player of the Week alongside McKenzie Gray of Mount Marty University who was named the pitcher of the week.
Floro, a senior from Plattsmouth, Nebraska, was nearly unstoppable at the plate this week. She went 11-for-17 with 11 runs scored. She also drove in five runs, earned a walk, and stole three bases as Midland went 4-0 in conference play. In the series at CSM, she went 5-for-5 with five runs scored in game one then drove in four runs in game two as the Warriors’ won 12-6 and 23-7. This is the third GPAC Player of the Week honor for Floro this season.
