
Jeffrey S. “Jeff” Bittinger, 50, of Fremont passed away Friday, April 18, 2025. He was born July 9, 1974 in Fremont to Danny and Carol (Raddatz) Bittinger.
Jeff grew up in Fremont and graduated in 1993. He worked at Coca-Cola and cooked at several local establishments. Jeff was a self-employed ‘rugger’ flooring installer for the last 25 years.
He was a member of the Elkhorn Valley Rifle Club in Arlington and Delta Waterfowl, and Duck Unlimited Fremont Chapters and the Fremont Airboat Club. Jeff loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing and air boating. Jeff did a lot of grilling out and smoking a bunch of meat, he loved cooking for friends and family. He also loved people; he never met a stranger.
Jeff is survived by his son, Hunter Bittinger (Payci Owens); daughter, Mallary Bittinger (Evan Peterson); mother, Carol (Ron) Bang all of Fremont; sisters, Tammy (Gale) Small of Del Norte, Colorado, and Kelly (Brian) Neuhaus of Fremont; brother, Danny Bittinger, Jr. of Fontanelle; grandson, Bowen Bittinger of Fremont and nieces, nephews, cousins and many, many friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Danny Bittinger, Sr.’ grandparents, Franklin & Hazel Bittinger and Neal & Marie Raddatz; and uncle, Jim Raddatz.
Funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 26, 2025, at the Fremont Alliance Church ,16th & Lincoln Ave. in Fremont. Visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, April 24 also at Fremont Alliance Church.
