During April 7-14, the Fremont Police Department participated in the “Put the Phone Away or Pay” grant in collaboration with the NDOT Highway Safety Office.
During that time FPD issued three citations for use of a handheld wireless communication device along with 21 speeding citations, one reckless driving citation and a total of 49 citations issued for various offenses.
FPD wants to remind drivers to stay off their phones while driving and always drive safely.
