SIOUX CITY, Iowa – The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports have announced the softball player and pitcher of the week for contests played April 7 – April 13, 2025. For the second time this season, Midland University swept the awards with Reese Floro earning GPAC Player of the Week honors and Campbell Petrick taking home GPAC Pitcher of the Week recognition.
Floro, a senior from Plattsmouth, Nebraska, went 9-for-19 (.474) with 4 walks this week (.565 OBP). She made the most of her time on the basepath, scoring 10 runs with a pair of extra-base hits. This season, she leads the team with a .429 average with 16 RBIs and 32 runs scored.
Petrick, a junior from Lincoln, Nebraska, picked up three wins this week in the circle as Midland went 6-0 and moved into second place in the conference standings. She had a 1.00 ERA with 10 strikeouts over 21.0 innings. This season, she has a 1.81 ERA with a 12-4 record.
