WBB: Pair of Warriors Earn Honorable Mentions

SIOUX CITY, Iowa – The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) has announced its 2024-25 Women’s Basketball All-Conference Teams, as selected by the league’s 12 head coaches. Midland University’s Sarah Shepard and Jenna Weber each earned honorable mention recognition.

Weber, a sophomore from Spring Hill, Kansas, led the Warriors in scoring this season, averaging 13.6 points per game. Shepard, a junior from Fremont, Nebraska, was the team’s leading rebounder, averaging 7.7 per game.

Dordt’s Macy Sievers was named the Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Women’s Basketball Player of the Year, while her teammate Janie Van Donge earned Defensive Player of the Year honors. Hastings’ McKenna Yates was selected as the GPAC Freshman of the Year, and her head coach, Jina Douglas, was named the Coach of the Year.
