Verjean M. Hapke, 73, of Fremont passed away on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha.
Verjean was born on December 20, 1951, in Fremont, to Veryl and Mary Ann (Petersen) Hapke. She resided in Cedar Bluffs for most of her life.
Verjean worked at the Wahoo Care Center as a CNA until her retirement in 2003. In 2005 she moved to Fremont. Verjean was a member at First Presbyterian Church of Cedar Bluffs. She loved to be creative by crocheting and crafting things. She was preceded in death by her parents. Verjean is survived by her daughter, Cheri Ann (John) Gieselman of Fremont; sisters, Patricia Hapke of Fremont, Deborah Mahrt, and Pamela (Brian) Larson both of Texas; grandchildren, Jamie Bentley and fiancé Chris Stover of Lincoln and Jordan Bentley of Fremont; great-grandchild, Jasie Bentley of Fremont.
Memorials may be directed to the family A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, March 15, 2025, at the Presbyterian Church in Cedar Bluffs.
