AUSTIN, Texas – The College Sports Communicators (CSC) announced its 2024 NAIA Football Academic All-America teams last week. Gabriel VanWinkle of Midland University was named to the 27-man team, as voted on by CSC members.
VanWinkle, a senior from Kearney, Nebraska, earned the honor for his performance on the field and his academic success. This season, he started every game for the Warriors on the defensive line, recording 44 tackles, 4.5 sacks, and two fumble recoveries. He will graduate with a degree in English.
