The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an accident that occurred at about 4 Wednesday afternoon on Highway 30 and County Road 18 — two miles west of Fremont.
A 2008 Chevrolet Malibu driven by Miguel Torres Sanjuro of Fremont was northbound on County Road 18 when it failed to stop for the stop sign and collided with a 2021 Buick Envision driven by Cora Snyder of Ames that was eastbound on Highway 30.
Fremont Rescue transported both drivers to Methodist Fremont Health for their injuries. They were then transported by LifeNet medical helicopter to an Omaha hospital.
Highway 30 was reopened at about 8:10 p.m.
