LeRoy F. Pendley, 89, of Fremont, formerly Arlington, passed away Friday, December 6, 2024, at Dunklau Gardens in Fremont. He was born September 17, 1935 in Omaha to Ruby Claudine Davidson. He graduated from Omaha North High School in 1954.

LeRoy served in the U.S. Army from June 1, 1955 to May 31, 1957. After the service he moved back to Omaha and lived also at Rogers and Schuyler before moving to Arlington in 2000. He was a sales rep for Bic Corporation from February 1964 to May 1989. Leroy married Joyce (Scheer) Plugge May 27, 2000 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Arlington. They moved to Fremont in 2014.

He was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Arlington, and proud 35-year member of AA since February 8, 1989. LeRoy also enjoyed reading and traveling.

Survived by wife and soul mate, Joyce of Fremont. sons, David (Andrea) Pendley of Fort Worth, Texas, and Darrin Pendley of Hebron, daughters, Kellie (James) Sandoval of Phoenix and Jackie (Lee) Paugels of Fremont; step-son, Nathan (Christine) Plugge of Blair, step-daughter, Kristen (Shawn) Matteo of Fremont; sister, Carol Jean Walker of Oregon; grandchildren, Elizabeth Matteo, Walter Matteo, Jessica Pendley, BreAnna Paugels, Alec Paugels, Nicholas Benjamin, Kristin Benjamin , Megan Pendley and Makayla Pendley; great-grandchildren, Aundrina Pendley, Jazzlyn Pendley, Marley Goodwin, Jayden Benjamin, Lincoln Paugels and Madelyn Paugels. Step-grandchildren, Samuel, Tyler and Jacob Plugge and step-granddaughters, Saige and Kelsey Junkle.

Preceded in death by his mother, an infant son, stepson, Neil Plugge and brother and sister-in-law.

Funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, December 11, 2024, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Arlington, Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

Interment with flag presentation will be at St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery. Online condolences may be left at www.mosermemorialchapels.com.
