A book that highlights 65 years of Fremont’s Disabled Veterans Chapter No. 18 history is now available.
A book signing event is scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday (Nov. 22) at the Keene Memorial Library Community Meeting Room.
All proceeds from the book sales will go directly to the Joseph C.H. Bales Emergency Fund to assist area veterans in need of emergency assistance.
Al Martinez said the book highlights the DAV but shares a lot about the community.
“It includes all organizations and groups — the parades, the memorials — just a lot of good factual information,” he said. “But also, information that shows photos of family members and everybody else trying to bring the community closer together.”
