SIOUX CITY, Iowa – The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) has announced its women’s basketball players of the week for contests played October 28-November 3, 2024. Midland University’s Sarah Shepard was named the GPAC Defensive Player of the Week while Adrianna Webster of Briar Cliff University took home offensive honors.
Shepard, a senior from Fremont, Nebraska, had a solid start to her final year as a Warrior on the defensive end. She averaged a team-best 9.5 rebounds while collecting 5 steals in two games while averaging 32.5 minutes. In the season opener, she tied a career-high with 15 rebounds.
Midland will host York University on Friday, November 8 in its home opener. Tip-off is scheduled for 8:00 p.m. inside the Wikert Event Center in Fremont, Nebraska.
