
Douglas Dean Haase, 83, of Fremont passed away October 29, 2024, with his children by his side at Dunklau Gardens in Fremont.
Doug was born March 1, 1941, in North Bend to Clarence and Lillian Haase. He was raised in North Bend and graduated from North Bend High School. On July 2, 1960, he married Carol Kaplan. Doug served in the United States Navy and was stationed in the Philippines, San Diego and San Francisco. After living in San Diego with his wife, they moved to Millard for a brief time before settling in Fremont to raise their family. Doug worked for Western Electric/AT&T/Lucent for more than 40 years.
He is preceded in death by his wife Carol and his parents.
He is survived by his children: Jim (Tonya) Haase, Barb (Scott) Feldhacker. Grandchildren: Caroline Haase, Austin (Whitney) Haase, Torey Kogel, Dillon Feldhacker and Wyatt (Maren) Feldhacker. Great-grandchildren: Anna, Jude, John, Vincent, Weston and Kaplan. Niece: Nicole (Dan) Dolan (Charli, Addison, George) and many dear friends.
A visitation will be held at Ludvigsen Mortuary Chapel in Fremont with family receiving guests 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 3.
Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 4 at Ludvigsen Mortuary Chapel with Pastor Scott Jensen officiating. Coffee and pastries be provided following the service.
A private family burial will be held at Killian Cemetery in Morse Bluff.
