David C. Losee, born on July 27, 1941, passed away at his home in Fremont on October 26, 2024.

Dave graduated from Fremont High School in 1959 and soon after he began his successful career as a Life Insurance Underwriter with Guarantee Mutual Life Company, which later became Guarantee Life Insurance. In 1990 Dave was blessed to meet the love of his life, Mary Grefe, and they went on to live the best years of his life together. During this time they enjoyed traveling together, from the east coast all the way to Hawaii. After a successful 39-year career, Dave retired and they continued their travels with frequent visits to the beautiful mountains of Colorado. More recently Dave had come to cherish the trips he would take with his brother, finding new restaurants and areas to experience. Dave could often be found in his recliner watching his Huskers or Chiefs play football.

For anyone that knew Dave, it might seem he had a hard outer shell at times, but Dave would do anything he could to help those he loved and who needed his help. He loved his family and was especially fond of his great-grandkids; when he was around them he was full of life and soft-hearted.

Dave is survived by his spouse, Mary Grefe and her children and grandchildren; brother, Craig Losee and sister-in-law Mary Losee, and their two daughters; grandson, Austin Losee and his wife Bailey, and their three children. He was preceded in death by his parents and his two sons, Jeff and Tim Losee.

Visitation will be held at Ludvigsen Mortuary Chapel in Fremont from noon to 2 p.m. Friday, November 1, followed by a service at 2. Dave will be missed by all who knew him. It gives the family peace to know he was reunited with his two sons. Memorials are suggested to the family.
