fremont-police

Fremont Public Schools were notified by a family member of a student that a threat was posted Tuesday night to a personal social media account.

The Fremont Police Department was notified immediately and began investigating. Based on their investigation, it has been determined who made the threat and law enforcement will be working with the Dodge County attorney to determine charges. The individual will not be in school for the foreseeable future.

Fremont Public Schools and the Fremont Police Department work together and will continue to investigate all threats as per their standard protocol.

As always, if you have information to share with FPS regarding school safety please reach out to the school district or police department.

“We are fortunate to have a partnership with local law enforcement to keep our schools and the community safe,” FPS Superintendent Mark Shepard said.
