Richard “Ray” Raymond Bokowski Jr., 74, of Fremont passed away October 12, 2024, at his home at Dunklau Gardens in Fremont.

Ray was born in Omaha on November 7, 1949, to Richard Sr. and Rita (Cero) Bokowski. He proudly served in the U.S. Army as a Green Beret during Vietnam. Ray was a member of the American Legion in Fremont and supported numerous Veteran Clubs. Ray formerly worked as a program director at the Fremont YMCA. He enjoyed being outdoors, traveling, and mountain climbing with his significant other Toni Dean. Ray loved riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle.

Ray is survived by his significant other, Toni Dean of Fremont and Toni’s family; son, Josh Brashears of Mississippi and grandchildren, Nasia and Josiah; and nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, David Bokowski; and sister, Kathy Ross.

The funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, October 18, 2024, at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont with Chaplain Scott Jensen officiating. Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont.
