Andrew Gregory (Greg) Smolen, 67, died at his home on October 10, 2024. Greg was born in Omaha on May 9, 1957 to Andrew J. Smolen and Frances R. (Lassek) Smolen. He lived his life in Omaha and retired from Omaha Steaks in 2022.
Greg was an avid Notre Dame fan and a Kyle Busch enthusiast. He was a proud member and participant of the “Table of Knowledge” at Andy’s. He spent his free time in the woods and on the Platte River when he could. His passion for photography is reflected in the beautiful sunsets he captured. His claim to fame occurred as an actor in the movie “Downsizing”. His talent is evident in his interpretation of clapping with expression.
He leaves behind a wealth of family and friends that loved and supported him.
He is preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Gary F. Smolen.
Per his request, there will be no services at this time. A celebration of his life will be planned at a later date.
