Stephanie “Diane” Gibb, 87, of Arlington passed away Thursday, October 10, 2024, at CHI Lakeside in Omaha.
Diane was born on December 18, 1944 to Stephen and Mary (Hill) Castello in Omaha, NE. She grew up in Omaha and has lived in Arlington for the past 24 years. Diane worked at Target for many years and later Anderson Merchandising. Diane also bartended at the Arlington VFW.
Diane was the matriarch in her family, the oldest of eight children. She was always one to put herself before others.
Diane loved motorcycles, hot air balloons, and traveling. She enjoyed being part of the Junior Old Timers group.
Diane was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James; and grandson, Justin Baker.
She is survived by her partner Lee Stork of 24 years; children, Ed (Teri Raiche) Gibb, Susan (Jay) Baker, David (Joanie) Gibb, Corey (Tammy) Stork, Ryan “Bubba” Stork, and Tracy (Regan) Fuller; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brothers, sisters, extended family and friends.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Thursday, October 17, 2024, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Arlington. Pastor Rick Kanoy will officiate. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at church. Family requests everyone wear casual attire to the service in memory of Diane.
Burial will take place at Mount Calvary Cemetery near Elkhorn.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Arlington Fire & Rescue.
