James Ruiz, 60, of Fremont passed away Tuesday, September 24, 2024 at his home.
James was born on July 16, 1964 to Gumesindo Garcia Ruiz Sr. and Annabell (Amparo) Chapa Barron in Tahoka, Texas. On November 28, 1987, James married Graciela Ortiz. They lived in Moorhead, Minnesota, for several years and moved to Fremont in 2003.
He was preceded in death by his father, Gumesindo Ruiz Sr, and brother, Richard Ruiz Sr.
James is survived by wife, Graciela; son, Derek (Brittney) Ruiz; daughter, Stephanie Ruiz; mother, Annabell (Ricardo) Salaiz; brothers, Anthony Ruiz and Gumesindo Ruiz Jr.; sister, Priscilla Ruiz; and grandchildren, Aaliya, Noah, and Amelia; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial service will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, October 4, 2024, at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont. Chaplain Scott Jensen will officiate. Memorial visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Moser’s.
