FREMONT, Neb. – Midland University has announced the hiring of Arianna Lumanog as the head coach of the men’s and women’s tennis programs. Lumanog moves into the head position following a successful career as a Warrior and one year as a graduate assistant. As a player, she earned all-conference honors at number one singles and number one doubles during the past three seasons.

“I’m looking forward to working with the players and watching them compete this year,” said Coach Lumanog. “We had a really good team culture last year and most of the players are returners so I’m excited to see how we do this year and hopefully improve our results.”

While competing in college, Lumanog taught at kid’s clinics in New Mexico every summer and provided private lessons at the YMCA here in Fremont. She is looking forward to the opportunity to lead the program here at Midland.

“We are excited to have Arianna take the lead for our men’s and women’s tennis programs,” said Courtney Thomsen, Midland Director of Athletics. “We have loved seeing her grow as an athlete and a leader here at Midland. We are thrilled to have her continue to be part of our community.”
