The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office responded to a personal-injury accident at 7:44 Thursday morning involving a black Nissan Altima and a silver Dodge Ram pickup in the intersection of Luther Road and U.S. Highway 30.
The accident occurred about one mile north of Fremont. Deputies and the Fremont Fire Department responded to the scene. The Nissan was on the south shoulder of Highway 30 and the Ram was in the median area of the intersection.

Roberts declined transport by ambulance but was transported to Methodist Fremont Health by personal vehicle. He was subsequently flown by medical helicopter to the Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha in critical condition. Svatora declined transport by ambulance. Both vehicles were towed from the scene by Blackburn’s Towing.
