Dorothy Smith, 90, of Fremont died Saturday, August 4, 2024, at Methodist Fremont Health. Dorothy was born May 9, 1934, in Clarkson to Michael and Antonia Zrust.
She was a lifelong Fremont resident. Dorothy attended St. Patick Schools and was a member of the high school’s second graduating class. Dorothy married Robert E. Smith on August 23, 1954, at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Fremont.
Dorothy was a former member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary. She enjoyed playing cards with her friends and scrabble with her family. She was an avid crossword puzzle fan.
She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Shelton of Fremont; sons, Gregory Smith, Steve Smith and Tonja Ledford, and Jeff (Suzanne) Smith all of Fremont; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Robert Smith; daughter, Lisa Marie; and son-in-law, Jack Shelton.
The memorial service will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, August 9, 2024, at Lifegate Church in Fremont. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the Church on Friday.
Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Fremont.
