KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced its Champions of Character institutions for the 2023-2024 academic year. Midland University earned the highest recognition as a Gold Five-Star Institution.
Institutions are measured on a demonstrated commitment to Champions of Character and earn points in character training, conduct in competition, academic focus, character recognition, and character promotion. Institutions earned points based on exceptional student-athlete grade point averages and by having minimal to no ejections during competition throughout the course of the academic year.
Additionally, the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) was named a Champions of Character Five-Star Conference. The GPAC had nine schools earn gold this past year while two others earned silver. For a complete look at the NAIA Champions of Character Five-Star Award Winners, click here.
