Albert “Hoot” Christ was born to Otto and Hattie (Wilder) on June 30, 1925, in rural Herman, Nebraska. He passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, on July 16, 2024, at St. Joseph’s Hillside Villa in West Point, Nebraska.

Albert enjoyed farming, looking at classic cars, playing horseshoe, and spending as much time with his big family as he could. He also enjoyed watching anything Nebraska sports-related. Every Sunday he had to listen to Moostash Joe. His favorite card game to play was Pitch. Hoot loved getting to watch his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and even his great great-grandchildren grow up. He loved getting special visits and trips with them and even being able to attend special events for them. He especially enjoyed his ice cream dates.

Albert is survived by his son, Dennis (Pam) Christ of South Saint Paul, MN; daughters: Sue Rief of Fremont, NE; Laurie Christ of West Point, NE; Teresa Christ of South Saint Paul, MN; Phyllis (Darryn) Harder of Wakefield, NE; 14 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; and 7 great great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughters, Kitty, Beth, and Brenda; brothers: Art; Emil; Clarence; Henry; Ernie; Gerald and Gene; sisters, Mildred Biggio, Clara Hankins and Ramona Bales; great-grandson, Christian Bjornson.
