FREMONT, Neb. – Midland University is pleased to announce the hiring of Mindy Wittig as the new Assistant Sports Information Director. Wittig joins the department after serving the past two years as a graduate assistant while earning her master’s degree in Sports Administration and Leadership.
During her tenure as a graduate assistant, Wittig played a pivotal role in transforming the Warriors’ social media presence with high-quality graphics that promoted teams and athletes. Her innovative approach, dedication to excellence, and drive to excel have not gone unnoticed, earning her three awards for her graphic designs this past year, including the Best Infographic for Events/Accolades/Breaking News presented by NAIA-SIDA.
In addition to her social media efforts, Wittig has been the lead communicator for several sports over the past two years providing game recaps and releases as well as statistical and game day coverage.
“Mindy’s creativity and commitment have significantly elevated our social media content, and we are thrilled to keep her on staff in this new role,” said Jeff Braun, Midland Sports Information Director. “Her passion for athletics and her outstanding work ethic will help build upon our efforts to highlight the achievements of our student-athletes and teams.”
In addition to her work with Midland, she has worked with the Fremont Moo for the past two summers. After interning with the summer collegiate baseball team in 2023, she was promoted to the role of assistant general manager in 2024.
